Hotel Lafayette - Clermont-Ferrand

It was clean and the staff was friendly. We had a mini fridge and we were right next to the train station and other forms of transportation into the town. Plus, on the fifth floor, we had a nice view of the town.

Was easy to find from the motorway. Hotel very basic but clean for an stop over hotel. 15 minute walk to get to the little town. Free parking

Plastic cups for making drinks and only enough milk for one cup of tea although I could have asked for more.

Free wifi, while sitting on the toilet you could wash your hair in the sink, as your legs are tucked under it and one arm is in it!!!!

Friendly welcome, pleasant clean rooms and free parking which is a real bonus so near to the city centre. Just across the road from the Gare sncf.

20 min walk into the old town with its cathedral and restaurants. The air conditioning was not very efficient. The room remained at 27° even though the ac was on all night.

We stayed here two years ago so it was a no-brainer to return to the Lafayette when we visited Clermont again. Very friendly staff (who remembered us from 2009) and only 100m from the railway station made this the perfect place for us to stay.

My only grumble would be the air conditioning didn't work in either our room or that of our travelling companion.

We enjoyed the very spacious room for our family of four. We also enjoyed the spa bath, which was particularly appreciated after a long day of travelling from Northern Europe by plane and train. The location of the hotel, particularly its close proximity to the railway station and handy shops is excellent.

The hairdryer is rather hard to handle.

Roseanna on reception was exceptionally helpful, she helped us find transport to our location in the morning, called car hire and taxi service to compare prices. Made our visit less stressful by far! Location is great opposite train station. Room and bathroom clean and adequate
